Come out and meet us.
Each year we host 4 lunches which are held at the Thornhill Golf and Country Club. At the luncheons there is sometimes a speaker or some musical entertainment or a raffle or sale to raise money for the four food banks that we support.

Each lunch starts with a social at 11:30 a.m. at which there is complementary coffee and tea and a cash bar.
The October lunch this year will feature a bottle raffle as a fund-raiser. Members will each bring a bottle of such non-alcoholic things as maple syrup, salad oil, hand soap, bath beads, gift cards, etc. and then will purchase tickets to enter the raffles for the bottles they’d like to win.
In December we will raffle off 12 Festive Baskets filled with tasty delights and handy items and will hear cheery seasonal music played by a flute and keyboard duet. A rep from Fifth Avenue Jewellery will be on hand to sell her wares with 15% of her profits being donated to our charities.
At the March Luncheon a local accountant will show us how best to plan our estates. Our Annual General Meeting takes place at the May luncheon so there will be the election of officers and awards presentions.
As well as the luncheons there are five Coffee Chats planned for 2016-2017 on:
September 9, 2016
November 17, 2016
February 15, 2017
April 11, 2017
June 14, 2017
They are held at the Pickle Barrel Restaurant on Leslie Street one block south of Cummer Avenue. These are very informal gathering at which some people have coffee and a muffin while others have a full breakfast. The conversation is always lively and entertaining.
Four times each year we publish a brief Newsletter with the dates of upcoming events, pension and insurance news, a Treasurer’s Report, a Goodwill report and, space permitting, pictures of previous events.
