Lifelong member still teaching!

November 13,2023 | Kitchener-Waterloo

Life Member Jockie Loomer-Kruger, at age 87 is teaching “Creative Fun” to seniors at the community centre in Truro NS. Coincidentally, it is a former elementary school! The course is six weeks long, 2.5 hours each session. The images attached show musical instrument-making week. Jockie moved from Kitchener-Waterloo back to her home province in 2020. Notice the use of a laptop and date projector – a lifelong learner, keeping up with the teaching times! This Drama Play session was attended by Anne Cameron and her husband on their recent trip to Nova Scotia. The class included making a craft from NS scallop shells. Jockie is also an author. She wrote ‘Until the day we die’ which is available at https://www.moosehousepress.com/catalog.
