At our Sept. 25 General meeting we had a very informative talk by Angela Yenssen, an Owen Sound lawyer from the Advocacy Centre for the Elderly. She spoke about Elders and the law. She gave us her 10 tips on how to recognize fraud and scams. She also talked about the differences between Retirement and Long-term Care Homes. We learned about the importance of Power of Attorney and having a will and how to protect our assets. She finished with a Q&A period.
After Angela’s talk LeAnne Taylor spoke about the RWTO/OERO Benefit plan and the open window to enrol in this very worthwhile plan.
