Our first Luncheon in RWTO/OERO’s Jubilee year of 2026 (70th anniversary), is on Thursday March 26th at RiverBend Golf Community club house. Our speaker’s topic is YOU (Youth Opportunity Unlimited) which is here in London. The outreach this month is the recently created Joan’s Place, where young men and women in need of support can have a safe place to be temporarily. More information on what to donate will be emailed to members early in March.
Members are encouraged to invite a recently retired teacher as a guest and potential member interested in joining our branch.
In our newsletter mailed out in February either printed copy or digital Chalk Talk, the announcement was made that the March and April lunches are each $35.00 per person and the May banquet is a subsidized $45.00.
Payment of $35.00 p.p. for the March luncheon must be received by the Treasurer, Lynda Faulkner on or before March 12th.
Payment can be made by cheque mailed to Lynda Faulkner at 49 Sir Robert Place, Arva ON N0M 1C0. If you are in doubt that your cheque will arrive in time phone Lynda at 519-474-0620 before March 12th, to let her know you have sent your cheque.
Payment can also be made by e-transfer to RWTO.treasurer@gmail.com.
There will be the Book table to donate to and/or replenish your reading stock. A reminder that gently used children’s books may also be donated for grandparents to share with grandchildren.
