The RWTO Upper Canada East branch gathered for its first meeting in 2026 on April 16th at St. John’s United Church in Cardinal, Ontario. The hall was beautifully decorated with unique bird houses and pansies on each table. The meal was delicious, the camaraderie delightful, and the guest speaker, very informative. The Jan. to Apr. birthdays were celebrated, with each lady taking home a carnation. The guest speaker, Skye Holman, demonstrated a Japanese moss bulb wrapping technique of planting called ” Kokedama”. Many of the women took advantage of buying some of her plants that were wrapped in moss. Ladies were enthusiastic about participating in the gift sharing, and many went home with some lovely gifts. We thank all who made this a delightful gathering and look forward to our next meeting on June 17th in Prescott.
