Present Wendy Bryson thanked everyone for coming to our Christmas luncheon.
Members who brought guests were asked to stand and introduce them.
Minutes:
The minutes of the General Meeting from September 25, 2025 were emailed to members and posted for members to read at the meeting. Moved by Stephanie, seconded by Karen Dinsmore that the minutes of the September meeting be accepted as emailed. All in favour. Carried
Treasurer’s Report: Anne Slager, Nancy Popovich:
Anne explained the breakdown of fees as follows: Of your $55 membership fee – $5 stays at branch for social fees
Balance of $50 is forwarded to provincial
Rebate of $15/person is received in the fall. Also, each branch received $200 to be used toward 70th Anniversary Celebrations in April. Moved by Anne, seconded by Jennifer Davis that the report be accepted. Carried.
Insurance Report: Jayne Ellis
Jayne reviewed costs for insurance.
Early Bird Draw:
Suzanne Alexander was our lucky winner and received a cheque reimbursing her membership fee.
Charity Donations: Wendy thanked everyone for bringing in donations for The Learning foundation. The total of monetary $1908.50
Date changes for 2026 meetings.

A reminder of the Area get together on April 20th. This will be hosted by Trenton at Trinity Church. Details to follow.
Judy Mewett – presentation of pins to three new members.
Cora Bailey Award Information: Kay Snedden briefly reviewed the history of the Cora Bailey award, as well as the information for nominations. Forms were available on each table. The nomination due date is January 31st and forms should be submitted to Kay. The winner will be announced at the April meeting.
Share the Wealth Draw –
Elizabeth was the lucky winner of $75.50 and donated it to the Learning Foundation.
Door Prizes – Denise
Festive poinsettias were given to the winners.
LUNCH
A delicious turkey lunch was enjoyed by everyone. Elaner thanked the women from the church who prepared the delicious meal for us.
ENTERTAINMENT
Lynda Rollins introduced the musical group Kindred Spirits, a guitar and vocal duo, who performed numerous traditional and more modern holiday songs. What a wonderful way to begin the holiday season! A thank you was delivered by Lynda.

Wendy thanked everyone for coming and wished them a Merry Christmas, spending time with friends and family. She is looking forward to seeing everyone at our next general meeting and luncheon at St. Matthews on April 15 for our 70th anniversary celebration.
