Chatham-Kent Branch 70th Anniversary “Royal Tea”

April 22,2026 | Chatham-Kent

Ladies enjoyed a “Royal Tea” to celebrate our organization’s 70th Anniversary! Sue Marshall gave a reminiscence of 2 garden parties she was pleased to attend at Buckingham Palace. President Nancy Hrytzak read excerpts from Chalk, Challenge and Change, acknowledging our members Pat Depencier, an interviewer and editor, and the stories of Carrie Blue, Marguerite White and Dorothy Shadd Shreve.
Brenda Hoyles’ name was drawn from a teapot, becoming our “Queen of the Tea”, so she could lead a royal parade! Two group games were played for prizes, resulting in much laughter.
We completed our morning with a delicious tea luncheon of finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam and tasty sweets. Congratulations RWTO/OERO!
