Cora Bailey Award-Trep Marentette

December 05,2023 | Windsor-Essex

                                                               Rose Ann (Trep) Marentette
This Honoree has distinctive merits, which contribute to her outstanding service to our Branch and so recognized for the Cora Bailey Award.A compilation of her talents was shared by her colleagues:
When teaching, Rose Ann consistently and creatively involved her class with research and discovery on many topics and displayed them in the school resource centre for all to see. She engaged her students in visits to nursing homes to provide entertainment to seniors. One of the favourite songs was Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer. Once the singing finished, small wrapped gifts were provided to each resident and residents and students shared treats.
In retirement Rose Ann (Trep) joined RWTO/OERO Windsor-Essex Branch. In 2013 she became the Archivist, a position she has held now for 10 years. She has always taken her responsibilities seriously as Archivist making sure that members get to see themselves on her display boards. It is a wonderful way to recognize and share memories. Trep shares the photos with all members.
Trep has also volunteered with the Goodwill Committee as a Forget-Me-Not, visiting senior Branch members, encouraging activities and membership.
She is a compilation of all her interests. Her exuberance mystifies less animated souls. As Mother, Professional, Musician, talented Clogger, Crafter Extraordinaire, there is nothing she can’t do with a glue gun! Rose Ann is a loyal friend and lots of fun!
Congratulations Trep on receiving this well deserved Cora Bailey Award.
