Twenty-four L-M members met to play a round of mini-golf at the Adelaide Street N. venue in the morning. We were divided into groups to play on either the blue or the red courses. Some of the holes were easy and some more challenging. We had to record our scores individually and as a team. When all the teams were finished playing, we went into the adjoining Walzing Weasel pub where a few non-playing ladies joined the group for lunch. While waiting to be served, the winners were announced and congratulated. Vera Rowland with her “hole-in-one” was particularly congratulated.
The whole event of playing followed by lunch was very much enjoyed and members expressed the wish that it could be repeated in the Spring and next Fall as a regular Friendship Activity.
