CHAMBERLAIN, Marion – Our beloved Marion Elaine Chamberlain, a shining light to all that knew her, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026. She found peace at the University Hospital with family by her side less than 2 months after turning 90 years of age.
Loving aunt of Gloria (the late Ian) Dunlap, Patricia and Earl Famme; great-aunt of Campbell, Tammy (Dave Manicom), Jeffrey, Jonathan (Erica Mogentale) and Melissa Famme; and great-great aunt to Shawn, Mia, Vivian and Nicoletta. Predeceased by her parents Edward and Margaret Chamberlain and her sister Helen (Ron) Huras.
A gifted teacher, Marion taught elementary school in London for 35 years and shared her expertise beyond the classroom at Althouse College. She believed teaching was an act of love and encouraged curiosity; therefore, she decided to return to the classroom to complete her career.
She spent many wonderful summers at the family cottage near Bayfield, enjoying the view of Lake Huron and time with family and friends. Her love of community also extended into the United Church, her membership with her PEO Sisters, and on-going travels to the beautiful islands of Bermuda and Hawaii.
A memorial service will be conducted at Colborne Street United Church, 711 Colborne Street, London on Thursday, February 5th at 1:30 pm. Reception to follow in the church hall. Memorial contributions may be made to PEO Sisterhood (Chapter G) or Colborne Street United Church.
