A handful of lucky members enjoyed a beautiful walk along the Mud Lake Trail, where they had great success hand-feeding chickadees, nuthatches, and even downy woodpeckers. The forest floor was blanketed with colourful leaves, and the sunlight filtering through the trees made for a picture-perfect autumn day. We couldn’t have asked for better weather — and not a single bug in sight! It was such a lovely outing that we plan to do it again in the spring.
