Fall has arrived, and with it, our first gathering of the Season. Over 40 ladies arrived at Winchester United church with gifts in hand to be auctioned at our annual Quarter Frenzy. We were delighted to have the Provincial President, Linda Sargeant, as an honoured guest. Sandie and Karen hosted the meeting, with Joyce giving carnations to the birthday gals and MaryEllen bringing laughter. We had a delicious luncheon, catered by the women of WUC. The highlight of the afternoon was the participation in the Quarter Frenzy. Each member brought an item, and BettyLou, our talented auctioneer, took bids on the various items. Everything from delicious fudge and beautiful fall flowers, to lovely handmade socks, bracelets, ointments, and Fall kitchen baskets, was won by some lucky ladies. We thank all who brought monetary donations to our local food banks, items for the quarter frenzy and the gift sharing table, as well as those who organized the meeting and prepared and served the lovely luncheon. It was a wonderful afternoon, and fun was had by all who stayed to enjoy it.
